Forge Institute partners with Splunk TruSTAR to provide Cyber Threat Intelligence Platform for Emerging Threat Center (ETC)

Little Rock, AR, August 10, 2021 – Forge Institute announced today a strategic partnership with Splunk TruSTAR, an industry-leading cloud-native intelligence management platform. The platform enhances seamless integration and actionable automation across Forge Institute’s ecosystem of collaborative information.

“Cyber-threats don’t have to take you by surprise,” explained Lee Watson, CEO of Forge Institute. “The ETC enables our members to access a trusted community of their peers, exchange cyber threat intelligence, collaborate on shared analytical products and build national situational awareness of cyber event activity. It is the first ISAC of its kind designed to leverage private-public collaboration to truly help our members identify threats to their networks and support enhanced protection of our Nation’s critical infrastructure.”

The Forge Institute Emerging Threat Center is a cross-sector Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) focused on emerging threats in the cyber universe. Members gain access to a vetted community of their peers through the Center’s cyber threat briefs, forums and community portal and have an option to access Forge Institute’s advanced threat analysis collaboration program. The ETC’s public-private partnership model provides a first-of-its-kind opportunity to enable legitimate analytic fusion between cyber professionals.

The Forge Institute ETC relies on trusted participation and accurate intelligence from a number of highly reliable and vetted sources. Splunk TruSTAR’s platform is vendor agnostic, enabling organizations to subscribe to multiple threat intelligence sources and collaborate in shared enclaves.

"Splunk TruSTAR is excited to partner with the Forge Institute's Emerging Threat Center to provide the real-time availability of proactive, actionable threat intelligence, analysis, coordinated countermeasure response, and best practice adoption," says Patrick Coughlin, head of intelligence platform at Splunk.

“This partnership with Splunk TruSTAR further expands the capabilities of the Emerging Threat Center and provides our members with a threat intelligence sharing capability to support cyber analysts across various industry sectors,” said Scott Anderson at Forge Institute. “Its ability to load indicators of compromise (IOC’s) from all data streams and parse them into a nodal analytic chart is unmatched. Having the ability to understand who reports each IOC and how they’re connected is invaluable.”

Forge Institute will be hosting a webinar with current and prospective members to showcase the ETC capabilities, including providing an overview of how Splunk TruSTAR supports the sharing of actionable intelligence for cross-industry analysts. Those interested in participating in the webinar or learning more about the ETC, should visit https://www.forge.institute/etc.
