Forge Institute Forms Strategic Partnership with Cybersecurity Leader Fortinet

Forge Institute, a leader in cyber workforce development and other cyber defense related services, today announced a strategic collaboration with Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT), a global provider of broad, integrated and automated cybersecurity solutions. The partnership is one of mutual benefit to both cyber-driven organizations.

“Fortinet is one of the most technologically advanced cybersecurity companies in the world,” said Lee Watson, CEO of Forge Institute. “A partnership between our expertise and Fortinet’s technology is a big win for the cyber defense community at large.”

Fortinet is a worldwide leader in innovating cutting-edge hardware and software solutions, and it helps secure some of the largest enterprises, service providers, and government organizations around the world. The company empowers its customers with intelligent, seamless protection across the expanding attack surface and the power to take on ever-increasing performance requirements of the borderless network. The new partnership provides Fortinet technology to Forge Institute for use and review.

Under the collaboration as an Education Outreach program partner, Fortinet will provide Forge Institute’s Academy students and Fellows access to the Fortinet Training Institute’s Network Security Expert (NSE) Certification program. The NSE Certification program is an 8-level certification program designed for technical professionals interested in independent validation of their network security skills and experience. The program includes a wide range of courses, as well as practical, experiential exercises that demonstrate mastery of complex network security concepts.

Fortinet has provided additional infrastructure resources that were necessary as Forge Institute expanded its virtual training capability during COVID-19. Fortinet supplied key resources to Forge Institute in reaching its mission, which is used to strengthen the security and privacy of its operations.

Forge Institute trains individuals and IT teams in the latest cyber techniques, including Blue and Red Team operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Forensics, Threat Hunting and Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis.

“The hardware Fortinet provides truly enables us to maintain the confidentiality that our clients and vendors require,” explained Watson.
