LITTLE ROCK, AR, October 13, 2020. Today Forge Institute announced it will be offering a two-day training course “Cybersecurity for IT Professionals” to provide IT professionals with the cybersecurity fundamentals they need to better protect the technology they manage. Participants will understand how their decision impacts the security and operational resiliency of the organization.

The cybersecurity risks effects of COVID-19 continue to increase. According to Cybersecurity Ventures, “ransomware damage costs are predicted to grow more than 57 times from 2015 to 2021” and “a business will fall victim to a ransomware attack every 11 seconds by 2021.”

“In this 2-day course, we will introduce IT professionals to several foundational concepts of cybersecurity. We begin with the concept of risk and the threats and vulnerabilities that cause that risk. Building upon that foundation, we’ll cover key laws, compliance, and security control frameworks that are used to protect and defend both data and computer systems. We’ll introduce and examine the components of an organization's cybersecurity program and provide information on key ways to best mitigate and manage risk. This training is key to demonstrating how cybersecurity is an integral component of an organization's IT functions.” - Scott Anderson, Exec. Director American Cyber Alliance & Director of Training

This course is designed for beginner to intermediate IT professionals, including: IT Auditors, IT Specialists, System Admins, Software Developers, Systems Engineers, Network Specialists, Help Desk Team, Financial and Risk Analysts and any other IT professionals.
